Project Description
The Zhanaozen Hybrid Power Plant is Kazakhstan’s first integrated energy facility combining renewable and conventional energy sources. Located in the Mangystau Region, the plant will harness solar (50 MW), wind (77 MW), and gas (120 MW) energy to produce a total capacity of 247 MW. This innovative project aims to provide stable and reliable electricity to KazMunayGas's regional subsidiaries, including Ozenmunaygas and the Kazakh Gas Processing Plant, thereby reducing the risk of production shutdowns due to power supply interruptions. Approximately 40% of the electricity generated will be from renewable sources, contributing significantly to Kazakhstan's decarbonization.
