Zhanaozen Gas Processing Plant (GPP)

Project Description:

The Zhanaozen Gas Processing Plant is a strategic initiative aimed at replacing the existing, over 90% worn-out facility in Zhanaozen, operational since 1973. The new plant is designed to process 900 million cubic meters of associated petroleum and natural gas annually. Its primary outputs will include dry commercial gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and pentane-hexane fractions. The project seeks to ensure a stable supply of essential gas products to the Mangystau region, bolster environmental and industrial safety, and support the continuous operation of local oil-producing assets.

Current Status:

Construction commenced in 2023, with two commissioning and start-up complexes scheduled to be operational by early 2027.

Start Date: Сonstruction-and-assembly works are scheduled to begin in 2025.

End Date: February 2027

Approximately $370 million (167.6 billion KZT)
