Project Name: Construction of a 3 Million Tons Capacity Metallurgical Plant in Zhambyl Region​

Project Description: Fujian Hengwang Investment Co., Ltd., a prominent Chinese metallurgical company, is set to invest in the construction of a large-scale steel plant within the Jibek Joly Special Economic Zone in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region. The project aims to bolster Kazakhstan's metallurgical industry by establishing a facility capable of producing 3 million tons of steel annually. ​

Current Status: As of February 2025, a meeting between Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Fujian Hengwang Investment's Chairman Zeng Zhaoqiang confirmed the project's advancement, with construction slated to commence in April 2025

Start Date: April 2025​

●      Phase 1: By 2027, achieving an initial production capacity of 1 million tons of steel.

●      Phase 2: By 2029, scaling up to the full capacity of 3 million tons of steel.
