Taraz Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Modernization

Project Description:

The project involves the design and construction of a modern wastewater treatment plant in Taraz, Kazakhstan, with a treatment capacity of 80,000 m³ per day. The initiative aims to replace outdated filtration lagoons, thereby improving wastewater treatment and sludge management in line with national and EU standards. The project is financed through a sovereign-guaranteed loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and co-financed by the Zhambyl region.
