Project Description: The Sarzha Multifunctional Marine Terminal is a strategic infrastructure project located at Kuryk Port on the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan. Developed by SEMURG INVEST LLP, the project aims to enhance Kazakhstan's transport and logistics capabilities along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor. The terminal is designed to handle various types of cargo, including grain, oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), general cargo, and containers. Key components of the project include:
Grain Terminal: In partnership with AD Ports Group, the grain terminal will have an initial handling capacity of 570,000 tons per year, with plans to expand to 1.5 million tons annually in the second phase.
Universal Reloading Terminal: Designed for transshipment of general, bulk, and container cargoes, with a capacity of 1.65 million tons per year and 150,000 TEU for containers. kuryk.kz
Liquid Cargo Terminal: Intended for transshipment of oil and LPG, with capacities of 2.6 million tons and 300,000 tons per year, respectively. kuryk.kz

Current Status: Ongoing. The first batch of general cargo was received in late September 2023. Construction of additional terminals and facilities is underway, with the grain terminal's first phase scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026.
