Project Name: Mining and Processing Complex for Potash Fertilizer Production at the Satimola Deposit by Qazaq Kalium Ltd.
Project Description: Qazaq Kalium Ltd. plans to construct Kazakhstan's first mining and processing complex for potash fertilizer production at the Satimola deposit in the West Kazakhstan region. The facility aims to produce up to 6 million tons of potash fertilizers annually, positioning Kazakhstan among the top five global producers with a 14% market share. The project is expected to create approximately 4,000 permanent jobs.
Current Status: Feasibility study phase. Tetra Tech has been appointed to complete a JORC-compliant feasibility study for a 6 million tonnes per annum integrated mine and processing facility.
Expected Start Date: To be determined upon completion of the feasibility study.
Expected Completion Date: The project is planned to be fully operational by 2035.
Investment Volume: Approximately $2.4 billion USD.
