Project Name: International Airport Construction in the Khorgos–Eastern Gate Special Economic Zone
Project Description: Skymax Technologies LLP, in collaboration with The Hansa Consortium, is undertaking the construction of a dual-purpose international airport in the Khorgos–Eastern Gate Special Economic Zone (SEZ) within Kazakhstan's Jetisu Region. The facility is designed to handle both cargo and passenger traffic, with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons of cargo and the ability to accommodate up to 500 passengers per hour. The project is planned in three stages:
First Stage: Construction of the airport's basic infrastructure, scheduled to commence operations in 2027.
Second and Third Stages: Expansion of the passenger terminal, enhancement of cargo and fuel storage capacities, and development of additional infrastructure, including a hotel and a shopping and entertainment center, with full project completion anticipated by 2032.
The initiative aims to bolster the region's transit potential, leveraging its strategic location at the crossroads of key transportation routes between China, Southeast Asia, CIS countries, and Europe. The project is expected to create approximately 700 jobs.
