Alkylate Production Plant in Pavlodar

Project Description:

The project involves the construction of an alkylate production plant based on a butane-butylene fraction in the city of Pavlodar, Republic of Kazakhstan. Alkylate is a high-octane component of motor fuel with a low content of harmful impurities (such as sulfur, aromatics, and unsaturated hydrocarbons), making it an environmentally friendly product that meets Euro-5 standards.

The aim of the project is to develop Kazakhstan’s petrochemical industry, reduce dependence on imports, and enhance the country’s export potential. Once operational, the plant is expected to supply products to both domestic markets and international markets, including CIS countries.

The facility will be equipped with modern technological equipment that complies with international standards for quality and safety. The implementation of the project will create new jobs and contribute to the development of supporting infrastructure in the Pavlodar region.

Current Status:

As of 2024, the project is under implementation. Initial construction and financing activities have commenced, supported by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK).
