Project Description:
The Atyrau Wagon Construction Plant,
initiated by the TEXOL group of companies, is dedicated to the production of freight railcars, including oil and gas tankers, 40- and 80-foot fitting platforms, covered railcars, and various components essential for railcar manufacturing.
Current Status:

As of July 1, 2024, the plant unveiled its first domestically produced freight railcars.
Start Date: September 2023
End Date: Full-scale production is anticipated by 2027.

Other Important Details:
The plant’s production capacity is set at 6,000 railcars per year.
The facility spans 17,000 square meters, with plans to expand to 62,000 square meters by 2027.
The plant sources materials locally, including metal structures from Qarmet (Karaganda), bearings from Brenco (Stepnogorsk), and wheelset components from Prommashkomplekt (Ekibastuz).
In 2025, production of tankers for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) transportation will commence.
